Music Band of the State of Zacatecas

The Band of Music of the State of Zacatecas, is a musical grouping of the Mexican state of Zacatecas. It was founded in 1957 by Octaviano Sigala and is currently directed by Salvador García Ortega, winner of the State Prize for Musical Merit "Candelario Huízar" 2007. He acts every year in at least 15 states of the country as well as some presentations in the United States. / p>

It is considered the second most important musical symphony in Mexico.

They are known by the zacatecanos their presentations of Thursday in the Plazuela Goytia of the capital of the state.

He has recorded three albums in L.P. format, as well as 8 compact discs, has his own music school, which has become an important educator of musicians. At the moment it counts on 85 members, each of them formed in the school of music of the band.
