Roger Pla (Rosario, Province of Santa Fe, Argentina, October 8, 1912 - Buenos Aires, June 28, 1982) writer and art critic.

Author of the novels The Duel (1951), The Robinsons (1946, Sade's Honor Strip), Green Cloth (1955, made in 1973 by Mario David), The Dead Compasses (1960), Intemperie 1973) and Attributes (his last novel, 1985). With the pseudonym of Roger Ivnnes wrote some detective novels, among which he emphasizes the cry of Nemesis. As an art critic he wrote, among others, the monographs Diderot and his ideas on painting (1943), Gambartes, and La pompeyana painting. He also participated in the dramaturgy. In this genre his most important work was Behind the Furniture (1942). He is also the author of an essay on literary criticism (Propositions, 1969), and a book of poems (Objectivations).

Writer worried about the social, his work reflects the Argentine urban types of the mid-twentieth century under a look not exempt sometimes existential anguish. As much by its social theme as by its literary preoccupations, its work is related to the one of Ernesto Sabato. Bibliography
