He was pilot and national champion of the Chile series of road tourism. In 1963 received the Prize to the best athlete of Chile. In 1978 he became president of Club Deportivo Universidad Católica. He was president of the Automobile Federation of Chile and Manager of the Association of fuel distributors. In 2004 he participated in the municipal elections of the Santo Domingo commune by the Independent Democratic Union party, obtained the first majority with 15.51% obtaining the position of councilman, position that maintains until today.

He was at the head of the Club Deportivo Universidad Católica in a very difficult time for the soccer branch. The year 1973 had descended to the Second division, which caused a great crisis within the institution. Two years had to happen until in the championship of 1975 it was possible to return to the first division. During his tenure he was always in the middle of the table of positions, initiating the process that would culminate with the title of 1984 under the presidency of Alfonso Swett.
