Signature Rock
For the homonymous articles, see Signature (disambiguation).
Signature Rock is a 4.5-by-6-foot (15-by-20-foot) rock located in the United States of America between the towns of Cowley and Byron in Big Horn County, north of Shoshone River in the State of Wyoming.
This protected place has a particular historical interest: the pioneers who followed the Bridger Trail (path discovered by the adventurer Jim Bridger, who prefigures the Oregon Trail) have made a habit of engraving on the stone their name and sometimes the date of their passage. More than 600 names are registered, the oldest date from 1858.
