Anaxilao or Anaxilas (ancient Greek, Ἀναξίλαος or Ἀναξίλας) was tyrant of Regio of 494 a. C. al 476 a. C.

He was the son of Cretines and of Mesennial origin. He took power in 494 BC. C. at the same time that the Sámios and other Ionians settled down in Zancle; Anaxilao soon expelled them and renamed the city as Mesene, and established new settlers. In 480 a. C., negotiated the alliance of the Carthaginians with Terilo de Hímera, his father-in-law, against Terón. The daughter of Anaxilao was married with Hierón I of Syracuse.

He died in 476 BC. C., leaving small children in the custody of Micito, that acted like regent until the year 467 a. C.
