Vicente Guallart (Valencia, 1963) is a Spanish architect.
Vicente Guallart was the chief architect of the Barcelona City Council from 2011 to 2015. He was educated at the universities of Valencia and Barcelona, and opened an office in the Catalan capital in 1992. He has been outstanding for his environmental and self- that coexist nature and technologies. He was the first director of the Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia with headquarters in Barcelona, participated in the Biennial of Architecture of Venice (curated by Aaron Betsky) between 2004 and 2008. In this last edition presents / displays the proposal Hyperhabitat: reprogramming the world, next to a manifesto entitled Can the planet withstand another twentieth century?
