Lauro Olmo Enciso (born June 6, 1955 in Madrid), is Professor of Archeology at the UAH (University of Alcalá) within the Department of History and Philosophy. He is a specialist in Medieval Archeology, Landscape Archeology, and Historical Heritage. He has also taught at the University of Ca 'Foscari in Venice, Universitá degli Studi di Siena, Universitá di Sassari, UCM (Universidad Complutense de Madrid), University of Castilla La Mancha, University of Granada, University of Jaén, and UAM Universidad Autónoma de Madrid), being in this last university where the specialty of Prehistory and Archeology in the studies of Geography and History. He has been a visiting researcher at Harvard University, with a Fulbright scholarship, as well as at the University of Siena. Currently, his research focuses on the Visigothic city of Recópolis, as well as on the deposits, especially the Castle of Zorita, and medieval landscapes of the Archaeological Park of Recópolis, in Zorita de los Canes, Guadalajara, like scientific director; as well as in the study of the Construction and Dynamics of the Medieval Landscape, and has initiated a line of research on Climate Change in medieval times. Also, he is scientific director in the field of Vega Baja, together with the professor Ricardo Izquierdo of the University of Castilla La Mancha, in the city of Toledo, where among the years 2007-2009 were realized the "International Courses of Archeology in the Vega Baja de Toledo ", co-directed with Ricardo Izquierdo.
