Joakim Segedi
Joakim Segedi (* 27 October 1904 in Rusky Kerestur, Austria-Hungary, today Batschka, Serbia, † 20 March 2004 in Križevci, Croatia) was auxiliary bishop of the Greek Catholic Diocese of Križevci Edit LifeQualtext On September 4, 1927, Joakim Segedi received the ordination of priests in the Greek Catholic Diocese of Križevci just before his 23rd birthday. On 24 February 1963, Segedi was appointed auxiliary bishop in Križevci, at the same time his appointment as titular bishop of Gypsaria. The bishop gave him on July 28, 1963, the later Cardinal Jossyf Slipyj, Ukrainian Greek Catholic Archbishop of Lvov; Co-conspirators were Archbishop Gabriel Bukatko, Apostolic Administrator of Križevci, and Augustine Eugene Hornyak OSBM, Apostolic Exarch of England and Wales. Joakim Segedi was an archbishop of the Greek Catholic diocese of Križevci until October 27, At the same time he retired at the age of 80. At the age of 99, Joakim Segedi was appointed titular archbishop of Gypsaria on 17 March 2004. Three days later, on March 20, 2004, Joakim Segedi died at the age of 99 in the Diocese of Križevci.
