Fernando Elías Calles Álvarez

Fernando Elías Calles Álvarez (1939) is a Mexican politician and civil servant.

Son of Alfredo Elías Calles Chacon and grandson of Plutarco Elías Calles, Fernando Elías Calles Álvarez has held various positions in the Secretariat of Public Education and in the Institutional Revolutionary Party, in addition to having been Undersecretary of Interior, Director of the School National Professional Education (Conalep) (1982-1983) and general director of the National Commission of Free Textbooks (Conaliteg) (1991-1994).
