Höhenwarner
An altitude monitor is an electronic device commonly used in parachuting, which measures the ambient air pressure. It outputs different warning tones when the parachute jumper falls below a previously set altitude (this is directly dependent on the ambient air pressure). Three different warning heights can be set for the currently available on-the-market acoustic altitude alarms, in order to transmit signals corresponding to the springer:
Example:
The high altitude alert is used mainly to give the freestyle jumpers (head-down, sitfly, etc.) additional security, as this may not always have the normal altimeter in view
However, the Springer should never rely on this attachment alone, as this may also have a malfunction.
