EPSO (European Personnel Selection Office), office for the recruitment of officials for the different institutions and bodies of the European Union.
Created on 26 July 2002 and running from 1 January 2003, EPSO is responsible for organizing general competitions for staff selection.
The tests are different in each contest. However most contain:
A pre-selection stage comprising multiple-choice questions, a set of written tests and sometimes an oral exam.
Generally, the duration of each contest is 12 months. It is necessary to master at least two EU languages in addition to the mother tongue. For most of the vacancies a university diploma is necessary, although there are also jobs that do not require such a title.
