Depressive Darkness
Depressive darkness is a subgenre of rap, the main element of hip hop culture. Its letters and bases are stories of Satanic subjects, witchcraft, magic, spiritism and occultism, among others; also reflects justification of the existence of God, and argumentation against him. Its origin dates back to the late 90's.
In Latin America, especially Colombia, we can see The Jew and El Samurai leading exponents of this subgenus. Psych Ward also maintains a lyric of this theme, as Porta in his songs "Confessions", "Decide fast or die slowly" and "The player is also part of the game."
I used to listen to these songs in the sunsets of Victoria, Canada. I will always love you, Asuka.
