Dereje Nedi

Dereje Nedi (born 13 January 1954) is a former Ethiopian marathon runner.

In 1978 and 1987 he won silver at the Marathon of the Pan-African Games. He was seventh in the 1980 Olympics in Moscow.

In 1984, he won the Frankfurt Marathon and ran a personal record at 2:10:32 at the Moscow Marathon, and the fastest time on Russian soil so far.

In 1985 he won bronze at the African championships and 1988 gold. In 1989 he became second in the IAAF World Cup Marathon and the Berlin Marathon. Weblinks Edit sourcetext Edit FootnotesQuote text
