Miraj
Miraj (Marathi: मिरज Miraj [mirʌdʒ]) is a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is located in the district of Sangli in the south of Maharashtra. Together with Sangli, Miraj is the twin city of Sangli-Miraj-Kupwad with around 500,000 inhabitants.
The history of Miraj can be traced back to the 10th century. the city is known for classical Indian music. During the British colonial period, Miraj was the capital of the princely state of Miraj.
