Herbert Koch (chemist)

Koch visited the Gymnasium in Stolberg. He then studied chemistry at the RWTH Aachen University, as well as at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich and the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena.
Herbert Koch was a scientific member of the Max Planck Institute for Coal Research in Mülheim an der Ruhr and department head at the institute. His scientific work included the investigation of the isomerization of hydrocarbons for the octane increase. He was co-editor of the magazine "Fuel Chemistry".
