Bajiquan

Banján (八極拳, literally "fist of eight ends") is a Chinese martial art that deploys explosive blows of short range like the elbows, shoulders etc. It originates in the province of Hebei, in the Cangzhou area, arriving today to be known in other places, such as Taiwan or the Wudang Mountains, in Hubei Province. Both the fighting style and the philosophy of Baji Quan come from philosophical sources of Taoism, such as the Taoist priests of Wudang, the classic book of the I Ching, and other sources dating back to the time of the Yuan and Ming dynasties. p>
