The first prototype was completed in 1949. After that, they experimented with this prototype until 1955 and then finished the gun in series. It was the first French self-service, which was produced as standard. In 1960 the Swiss Army procured four experimental vehicles. After the trial, the Swiss Army did not have any procurement.
