Zoot Money’s Big Roll Band
Zoot Money's Big Roll Band was a British soul band that was successful in the UK in the mid-1960s.
Zoot Money himself played the organ and sang in a funky, blues-like style. He dominated every song with his powerful, unmistakable personality and was accompanied by an outstanding band. Among them was Andy Summers, who later became much more famous with The Police.
In the charts, the band once managed, with the single Big Time Operator, in which Zoot describes himself in all modesty.
Zoot later founded an experimental group called Dantalion's Chariot before becoming an organist at Eric Burdons Animals.
