For other uses of this term, see Cila (mythology).
Cila (in Greek, Κίλλα) was an ancient city of Eólida.
Homer, in the I corner of the Iliad, mentions it as a place protected by Apollo, as well as Chrysa and Ténedos.
It is mentioned by Herodotus among the twelve primitive Aeolian cities.
Strabo places it in the territory of Adramitio, near where Thebes was located Hypoplacia and where there still existed a sanctuary of Apollo Cileo, located next to the Cileo river. Pliny the Elder, for its part, quotes Cila among the cities disappeared from the Eólida region.
