Takigawa Kazumasu

Takigawa Kazumasu (滝 川 一 益, Takigawa Kazumasu) (1525-1586) of the Takigawa clan, originally from Ōmi province. He was a samurai supporter of Oda Nobunaga and then of Toyotomi Hideyoshi during the Sengoku period.
He was appointed Kantō-kanrei (representative of the shōgun in the Kantō region) by Nobunaga, with this position and with a part of the Kozuke province under his rule, was assigned to the surveillance of the Hōjō clan established in Odawara. While he was a supporter of Nobunaga, he took part in many battles, including the battle of Anegawa in 1570 and the campaigns against the Nagashima Ikkō-ikki (1571-1574). After the death of Oda Nobunaga in 1582, Kazumasu, like other supporters of Nobunaga, began to serve Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
