Synagoge (Alytus)
Synagoge in Alytus (2013)
The synagogue in Alytus, a city in Lithuania, was erected in 1911 on the site of a wooden predecessor dating from 1857, destroyed by a fire in 1909.
The profane synagogue in the style of historicism has been misused since the Second World War.
The building from brickwork is now unused and decayed more and more. Inside, remains of wall paintings are still preserved. Weblinks Edit sourcetext Commons: Synagogue (Alytus) - collection of pictures, videos and audio files
