Bolivian Pantanal

The Bolivian Pantanal is the Bolivian part of the Pantanal, distributed between Brazil, Paraguay and Bolivia, occupying an area of about 31,898.88 km², has a great ecological importance since it is a highly complex and temporally dynamic mosaic of lakes, lagoons, swamps, rivers, flooded savannahs, palm groves, dry and closed forests, a primordial source of the Paraguay River, is a habitat for astounding amounts of plant species and fish, birds and large mammals.
On the site is also the Chiquitano forest, a large area of the world's most intact dry forest.
