The process of Vinaroz or Manifesto of Vinaroz was a political process of the left independentista of the called Catalan Countries (Catalonia, Valencian Community and the Balearic Islands, celebrated in Vinaroz the 2 of April of 2000 with the objective, according to the manifesto , to endow this stream with the essential structures for obtaining the political independence, national unity and social justice of the Catalan people (considered in a broad sense and that would affect territorially the autonomous communities of Catalonia, Valencian Community, Balearic Islands and some territories of Aragon.) Among the participating organizations were Endavant, Moviment de Defensa de la Terra, Maulets, and various groups and independentistas entities.
The initiative emerged to organize the different groups of related ideologies, and yet sometimes conflicted, in a common strategy. The process took shape in November 2002 with the creation of the Coordinadora de l'Esquerra Independentista and a month later with the constitution of the Tarragonès Regional People's Assembly. Subsequently, as a result of the same process, they created the Popular Unity and Solidarity Alert, an anti-repressive collective of the Catalan independence left.
