Seek and Destroy
Seek and Destroy is the ninth song from the debut album by American band Metallica. The album was called Kill 'Em All. It was the first song of the band recorded in a studio. His live debut was in 1982.
The song is about the urge to kill, but not literally do it. During the Kill 'Em All for One Tour, James Hetfield must have been joking to say it was the hunt. It is said that it may have been heavily influenced by Diamond Head's Dead Reckoning song. The first three mini-solos are derived from the song Princess of the Night, of Saxon. Metallica added the final single. Since the debut of the song in Kill 'Em All, Kirk Hammett has apologized for the unusual tone when playing the guitar string that occurs at about 3:47 or 3:48, during the solo, is in fact an error or wrong note.
"Yes, Seek and Destroy is taken from a Diamond Head song, it's Dead Reckoning." This was inspired by Seek and Destroy, so to speak. "
