ASIMELEC is the acronym for "Multisectoral Association of Information Technology, Communications and Electronics Companies"; an association founded in 1984 and representing some 3,000 companies in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) macrosector in Spain ....

The association groups manufacturers, marketers, distributors and in the case of the Telecommunications sector to installers. The total number of companies represented works for 350,000 people, with a turnover of 4.5% of the GDP of Spain. goals

The companies that make up the Association form Work Committees that meet periodically, developing activities such as studying the evolution of sales in their sector, analysis of new regulations that will affect companies soon, the solution approach to common problems, the design of quality systems and environmental management, and everything that reverts to the common benefit of companies. Therefore, contacts are maintained with those responsible for the different bodies that regulate the environment of the companies' activities, and ASIMELEC participates in various committees and groups.

ASIMELEC's work commissions collaborate with the Public Administration on issues such as the environment, legislative development and regulation, internet, computerization, quality and training, and the association acts as an interlocutor between the Public Administration and its represented sector. / p>

The Association has several Working Commissions, representing the different ICT sectors, including: Telecommunications and Internet, Digital Printing, Mobile Telephony, Digital Home, Digital Television, Network Security, Recording Media, Batteries, Hardware, Digital Content, etc.

ASIMELEC has five Environmental Foundations: ECOASIMELEC, TRAGAMOVIL, ECOFIMATICA, ECOPILAS and the Foundation for the Transfer of TIC Knowledge, FUNCOAS.

It belongs to the European business organization, EICTA and the Board of Directors of the CEOE, among others.

The company has been presided over by Martín Pérez Sánchez since 2007.

This business organization merged with AETIC and left a single multisectoral division: AMETIC.
