Aluminiumhaus
Aluminiumhaus
The monumental aluminum house at Jägerhofstraße 29 in Düsseldorf-Pempelfort was built between 1952 and 1953 according to plans by Helmut Hentrich and Hans Heuser as a residential and office building of Olga van Meeteren. Employee was Hubert Petschnigg. The appearance of the house is characterized by the aluminum-clad building supports that divide the glass façade vertically. Edit source text
Stylistically, the aluminum house is related to the Drahthaus. The building has five floors and a cantilevered roof slab. The floors are fully glazed. The front of the glass is fitted with tapered, aluminum-lined supports. In front of the rows of windows, the horizontal structure is plaster balconies with steel railings.
