Stellar Maternity
Supernova captured in 1998 by the Hubble Space Telescope.
Stellar motherhood is the term used in astronomy to describe the process in which new stars are created from the explosion of others, ie a supernova. This process is carried out when supernovae at the end of their explosion produce nebulae (consisting mainly of hydrogen and helium), where from these phenomena of condensation and stellar dust, which by the effect of gravitational pressure and attraction are concentrated in a core that will end the star formation.
The term maternity is coined by the fact that stars are formed from stars, ie stars are the same procreators of these, so that interstellar space is always forming a constant diallel.
