Remmersen
A monument erected in Eldagsen near the church of St. Alexandri in Eldagsen in memory of the eight "vanished villages" desolate around the village, Sketched overview with the location of the former villages and the watercourses in the district Eldagsen
Remmersen was one of several villages in the Eldagsen region, which were "depopulated" between the 14th and 16th centuries. The surviving inhabitants settled in the - better protected - town of Eldagsen. Today Flurnamen reminds of the eight desolate villages, but also a monument erected in 1998 by the homeland of Eldagsen near the church of St. Alexandri with an explanatory text-box and a sketch of the location of the former settlements.
