Leonardo Andollo Valdés

General Leonardo Ramón Andollo Valdés is a Cuban military man, currently 2nd Chief of General Staff of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba. He was a participant in the revolutionary activities against the government of Fulgencio Batista. Andollo Valdés, is one of the founders of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution. He collaborated in the fight against bandits and in 1961 belonged to the Engineering Section of the General Staff of the Revolutionary Armed Forces. He was sent to the Soviet Union to study Military Engineering and reinforce his studies. He was part of the Cuban contingent in the Ethiopian Civil War. He was Chief of Engineering of the Western Army; Head of the Military Engineering Department; 2nd Chief of General Staff and currently Head of Operations Directorate and deputy to the National Assembly of People's Power in the VII Legislature.
