Aaron Giles
Aaron Giles is an American programmer and pioneer in creating emulators for the Macintosh. Giles graduated from the University of Chicago in 1994.
He is known for being a great contributor to the MAME project and, currently, he is the main man- ner of the MAME project. Giles began as Connectix's flagship product programmer, the Virtual Game Station, which was an emulator of the Sony Playstation for the Macintosh. The project was incredible for the time because it was able to emulate the RISC processor of 33 MHz of the Playstation and over worked at full speed using a computer at 266 MHz demonstrating the great performance of the emulator and the great work done. The emulator was so successful, Sony sued Connectix. Although the ruling was favorable to Connectix, Sony bought all rights to the Virtual Game Station blocking its sale and development continuity.
Giles has been working at Microsoft since 2003 with the purchase of Connectix. Software
