Edit HistoryQual Frauenbrunn-Kapelle from "History of the parish of Traunwalchen 1905" Altar and votive tablets in the Frauenbrunn Chapel
The Frauenbrunnkapelle at today's new cemetery of Traunwalchen is an octagonal wooden building with onion dome built in 1606 by the Pertenstein courtier, Count Ladislaus of Törring, over a healing source. This was after his sister was cured by the enjoyment of the water of an affection. The chapel was the subject of numerous pilgrimages along with the Traunwalchen parish church of the Birth of the Virgin Mary from the 17th century and was baroqueized in the middle of the 18th century. Around 100 votive tablets in the chapel from the time of 1669 to 1946 witness miraculous cures and rescues by the mother gods. However, the pilgrimage in Traunwalchen fell sharply in the course of the 19th century.
Founded in 1770, the Frauenbrunnhaus is a foundation of Count Emanuel von Törring. It was used as a schoolhouse. It is now owned by the Heimatbundes Schloss Pertenstein. Edit source text
