Delphi Corporation (NYSE: DLPH) is a multinational company based in the city of Troy in Michigan, USA. Its business activities include the design, manufacture and distribution of components and mechanical and electronic systems for the sector industrial automation and transportation. Created in the late 1990s as a division of General Motors, and known as Delphi Automotive Systems until 2002, it had 169,500 employees, 156 production facilities and subsidiary companies in 34 countries in 2007, with a turnover of 22.3 billion dollars.
