Clase Holzinger
The Holzinger Class is a class of ocean patrol (OPV), built by the Mexican Navy for its own use. It is based on the design of the Uribe Class purchased from the Spanish naval company Empresa Nacional Bazán in 1982. It has a smaller helicopter landing deck than the Uribe Class, its main armament is two twin barrels Bofors 40 mm MK1, can operate on board the MBB Bo 105 helicopter.
The Holzinger-class ships were the first medium-sized patrol boats built by the Mexican Navy. These ships were built at the Navy Shipyards (ASTIMAR) 1 and 20 in Tampico and Salina Cruz.
