The Annales Sangallenses maiores (lat. for larger St. Gallen Yearbooks) are annals from the Fürstabtei St. Gallen for the time from 709 to 1056, which for their older part (to 918) are based on the Annales Alamannici and then independently were continued. The oldest tradition, begun in the tenth century, can be found in the Codex Sangallensis, 915, a chapter of the book on pages 196 to 236. Supplements are found in the copy of the second chapter of the chapter, Cod. Sang. 453 from the twelfth century, pp. 211-235. Following the news of the death of Henry III. in 1056, with which the annals end, there is a report on the foundation of relics from the Holy Land to the monastery of Saint Gallen in 1180.
