Sandar is a village in the municipality of Sandefjord and a former Norwegian town of Vestfold County.
In 1931 a part of Sandar comprising 66 inhabitants was integrated into the commune of Sandefjord, then in 1950 it was another part comprising 226 inhabitants.
On 1 January 1968, the municipality of Sandar was merged with that of Sandefjord. At the time, Sandar had 24,898 inhabitants compared with only 6,242 for Sandefjord. Change the code
