Meliaden
The Meliades or Meliai (Μελιάδες, from gr. μελία = "Ash", hence also Eschynymphs), also called melical nymphs, are nymphs living in ash trees in Greek mythology. Often, they are generally associated with dryads as tree nymphs.
They were born, according to the theogony of Hesiod, from the blood that fell upon Gaia, when Titanus Kronos deprived his father Uranos. The giants and the goddesses of revenge, the Erinyes, were created alongside the Eschynmphen. Edit source text Weblinks Edit sourcetext
