Erecia River
The river Erecia or Erecía is a fluvial course of Cantabria (Spain) belonging to the watershed of Saja-Besaya. It has a length of 10,812 kilometers, with an average slope of 7.0º. Its course is included in the Saja-Besaya Natural Park, serving as a base for hiking trails and flowing along the Monte Canales trough. In the municipal term of Molledo the Erecia is united to Besaya. From his name, Er- seems to refer to "river."
Next to the river, in Silió, there is a Romanesque hermitage, at 250 masl. Its course constitutes a fishing preserve from its head to the bridge of Silió. Bibliography
