Álvaro Rengifo

Alvaro Rengifo Calderón (Madrid, July 5, 1932) was a Spanish politician. Studies of Law by the University of Madrid. State commercial technician. Commercial aggregate in the Spanish embassies in Colombia and Ecuador (1961). Director General of the Spanish Institute of Emigration. Director General of Social Promotion (1966-69). Director General of Foreign Trade (1969-74). Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce (1974-75).

On July 7, 1976, he was appointed Minister of Labor in the first government of Adolfo Suárez, a position he held until July 4, 1977.
