Umar Rida Kahhala (Arabic عمر رضا كحالة, DMG'Umar Riḍā Kaḥḥāla, born 1905 in Damascus, died 1987 in Damascus) was a Syrian historian and literary scholar. He is known as the author of the Mu'ǧam al-mu'allifīn (معجم المؤلفين), an extensive biographical lexicon of Arabic authors (15 vols & suppl.).
