The 24-hour Zeurrace (German 24-hour sailing regatta) is a sailing regatta that takes place every year towards the end of August on the IJsselmeer, the Markermeer, the Dutch Wattenmeer and the North Sea
Sailing yachts and multi-hull boats as well as traditional round and flat bottom boats can participate. More than 700 ships of this type are reported every year. This makes it the largest sailing regatta in the Netherlands and even one of the largest in Europe.
Organization and History
This sailing sport event is organized by the NVvK, the "Nederlandsche Vereeniging van Kustzeilers". For the first time in 1950 the regatta was carried out between 22 yachts.
