National Party

Stronnictwo Narodowe (National Party, SN) was a Polish nationalist party; founded in October 1928, she represented the interests of Endecja.

The main objective of the Stronnictwo Narodowe was the formation of a Catholic state of Polish nation. The Stronnictwo Narodowe organized numerous demonstrations against the dictatorship of Sanacja.

From October 1941, she was involved in the formation of the Polish Exile Government. Their military organization in occupied Poland was the Narodowa Organizacja Wojskowa, NOW.

In 1942 a part of the party committee for the merger of Narodowa Organizacja Wojskova with the Polish Home Home Society expressed itself, which led to a break in the party and Narodowa Organizacja Wojskova. The part, which deplored the merger, founded the Narodowe Siły Zbrojne together with the Związek Jaszczurczy (lizard collar).

After the Second World War, the party remained in the underground after a failed legalization attempt and was fought by the authorities of the People's Republic of Poland.

Jędrzej Giertych, the grandfather of Roman Giertych, was one of the best-known leaders of the post-war period. His father Maciej Giertych founded Stronnictwo Narodowe in 1989. Weblinks Edit sourcetext Commons: Stronnictwo Narodowe (1928-1947) - collection of pictures, videos and audio files
