Ariaramna (Cappadocia)

Ariaramna / Ariaramnes / Ariamnes († about 225 BC) was from about 255 to about 225 v. Chr. Ruler of Cappadocia. His name means: The Aryan peace.

Ariaramna was the eldest of three sons of Ariarathes II. Ariaramna continued to expand his position through a clever marriage policy - his son Ariarathes was married to the daughter of Antioch II Stratonike. His successor became his son Ariarathes III, whom he had already co-reigned during his lifetime.

The most important source of the government of Ariaramnes is Diodorus.
