Edit LifeQualtext

Kuťák studied philosophy and German philology at the Humboldt University in Berlin. Already during his studies he began to write and to translate. After successfully completing his studies, he worked as an editor for television until 1990. In addition to his work as a translator (among others works by Fred Breinersdorfer, Kurt Mahr and Karl-Herbert Scheer), he also practiced various other professions.

Since he successfully debuted in 1990 with a crime story, he devotes himself only to writing.

Kuťák is married and has three children. Edit the source text Edit WorksQualtext

Since its first narrative in the year 1990 up to now 300 Crimean shortstories have been created. In German translation one finds some in the anthologies The killer attracts the sneaker and the killer grabs the rod.

In his novels, Kuťák repeatedly focuses on golf. Protagonists are, as in some of his stories, the detectives Karel Schwarz and the beautiful all-seeing Marie.
