Boh is one of four administrative districts (woredas) in the warder zone of the Somali region of Ethiopia. The main town of the Woreda is the Boh of the same name. Boh is located on the border with Somalia, Somaliland and Puntland and is the easternmost Woreda of all Ethiopia.

The area of the Woredas Boh and Geladi belongs to the Haud and is inhabited by Somali, which belong mainly to the clans of the Majersen and Dolbohanta-Darod and live as nomadic cattle breeders. Until the middle of the 20th century, there was little water available in this area, so that the nomads moved to the fountains of Warder and surrounding areas, as well as to Gaalkacyo, Las Anod or Garoowe in Somalia. More recently, the number of water bodies has risen. In 1963, a drill hole was dug in Boh and further holes followed in Docmo and Dogob in the 1970s. In addition since the 1970er years numerous private birkas, underground water reservoirs emerged. These developments have made it possible for the grazing areas formerly used primarily during the rainy season to be cultivated in the dry season. However, this has also made the most important forage crops scarcer. According to the census of 2007, Woreda Boh has 103,074 inhabitants, of which 8.91% (9,188) live in urban areas. Larger places are the main town Boh with 5.082 and Dimeriad with 1.592 inhabitants (2005). In 1997, 99.99% of Somali were from 79.428 inhabitants, and 5.63% (4.471) were considered as urban residents. Edit sourcetext
