The Rothenmoor was a megalithic grave of the Neolithic funnel-beaker culture at Rothenmoor, a district of Dahmen, in the district of Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It was on a mountain at the Great Studersee east of Rothenmoor and was destroyed around 1847. Only a few hundred yards away was the large descendant of Sagel, south of Rothenmoor, with the Singen Grand-Singen. The next grave is the approximately 2 km north-east of the Großsteingrab Basedow 2. There are no further details on the orientation, dimensions and type of the Rothenmoor facility. Albrecht von Maltzahn found the shards of two funnel cups when he examined the already severely damaged grave chamber. Both vessels were reddish-brown and had a decor of vertical stitch groups. Only one vessel is still preserved. It is now in the collection of the Archaeological Land Museum Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Schwerin. Edit source text
