No Mehrdadi

Nima Mehrdadi (born March 23, 1973 in Tehran, Iran) is a former German basketball coach and manager.

The promoted mechanical engineer played in junior and senior teams of the Paderborn Baskets and already trained as a 16-year-old Baskets junior team. At the age of 20, Mehrdadi took over the trainer's office with the reserve team of the Paderborn Baskets and the assistant coaching position in the first team. With which he 1993 in the first basketball Bundesliga ascended. In 1997/98 followed an intermezzo: Mehrdadi took care of Iran's junior national team, before he went back to the Baskets as an assistant coach, who now played in the 2nd basketball league. There he left Werner Rotsaert as a cheftrainer in February 2001.

In the same year he initiated the concept "1st Basketball Bundesliga" together with the now deceased President Bert Bruch. Nima Mehrdadi became Sports Director, Doug Spradley Cheftrainer and it then began an extremely successful collaboration. Four years later the re-entry into the first basketball Bundesliga followed. The 50th successive success in Germany, a unique success story in Germany, is still a concept for every basketball fan. With a concept built on continuity, Mehrdadi, together with Doug Spradley, worked for several years, with minimal resources, a first-ever team, which never missed the regional relationship. In the 2008/2009 season the Paderborn Baskets surprisingly reached the playoffs of the German championship and did not play until the 5th game against the German champion ALBA Berlin

After seven years as sports director at the Paderborn Baskets, Nima Mehrdadi announced his resignation at the end of the 2008/09 season for private and professional reasons. Nima Mehrdadi was vice president of the Paderborn Baskets from 2004 to 2009. Single-level Edit source text
