UAV Engines AR731
UAV Engines AR731 is a Wankel engine for use in unmanned aircraft (UAV) of the British manufacturer UAV Engines. It is an air-cooled single-plate Wankel motor with a particularly favorable weight / power ratio. The operating time between two engine overhauls is between 10 and 50 h depending on the application profile. It was originally developed by Norton as Norton NR731.
The engine is used among other things in the drones General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Prowler and IAI Harpy. It is designed as a loss engine, as the IAI Harpy, for example, self-destroys after a maximum of 6 hours of flight time. Technical data Edit source text
