The Tsukahara Kenjirō Literary Prize was a literary prize awarded in memory of the writer Kenjirō Tsukahara and the promotion of children's literature for young people from 1978 to 1991. The award was first given by the Tsukahara Kenjirō Youth Literary Association under the direction of the writer Miyaguchi Shizue, then from 1989 onwards by the Kyōdo publishing house (郷 土 出版社, Kyōdo Shuppansha, such as "Heimatverlag in Nagano"). The award was closed with the 14th award on 8 March 1991.
