Scratchware Manifesto

The Scratchware Manifesto is a statement written by several video game developers in the summer of 2000. It was written drawing on the Cyberpunk Manifesto.

Their intention is to draw the attention of companies and individuals who, according to them, are damaging the video game industry through questionable business models and development policies.

Scratchware attempts to introduce a new generation of video game developers into the industry; create glorious pieces for entertainment and foster a model of development that has been distorted enough over the years.

The Scratchware Manifesto is a public domain document, and can be used by anyone interested in spreading the word.
