Martín Triana


General Martín Triana Guzman was a Mexican soldier with Villista idealism who participated in the Mexican Revolution. He was born in San Miguel del Mezquital, Zacatecas, (today Miguel Auza) on November 3, 1874 and died on February 8, 1934 in Mexico City. It began in the Mexican Revolution in 1910, fighting in the state of Durango. In 1913 and 1914 he fought against Victoriano Huerta, having as center of operations the region of San Juan de Guadalupe. He stood out as one of the chiefs of the Northern Division, but later passed along to the Constitutionalists, where he collaborated with General Alvaro Obregon in the Battle of Celaya; also participated in the battles of Leon and Trinidad, all of them in the middle of 1915. In 1916 reached the rank of general of brigade. He died in Mexico City in 1934. Currently in the Col. Gonzalez Ortega Sombrerete Zacatecas place that the general fund alongside other personalities, are two of his Children Mr. Francisco Triana Sanchez and Mrs. Delia Triana Sanchez Bibliography
